Memories...

Heres What you Do
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Celebrity Morph!!

On that same fun site I found the look a like meter was a celebrity morph. So of course I HAD to do it. My match was Jessica Biel, and James was Joe Rogan. I think we make a pretty cute "Celebrity Couple"!

Look A Like?

So James and I have had a continuing debate over who his kids look more like....Trena (their mom) or him. Well I found a nifty site from a friends blog that has answered that question, unbiased I might add, for us! Looks like we were both right as far as Kalysta is concerned. As for Levi, well James I concede. You are right. He looks SLIGHTLY more like you! I will have to say however I believe Kalysta looks like her mom, but with James beautiful hazel eyes.

And of course while I was playing with this fun site I couldn't resist...so here are the results of my little babes. I really wasn't surprised with the results. When Brooklyn was younger I thought she looked more like me but as she's gotten older I think she's looking more and more like her dad...and I was right. Walker boy however still looks more like his momma!!

Surprise, Surprise

James is officially an owner doctor. I know I had posted earlier that he had already done this BUT there were a few "road bumps" that we ran into. It all got worked out however and it became official a couple days ago. So, for this joyous occasion, his staff and the regional manager, Joe, put together a little "SURPRISE" party for the new owner of the "SURPRISE" office ;-). I know I've said it before, but he has an amazing staff and support staff. We feel extremely blessed to have such wonderful people in his office. They really are the BEST!! Even a few friends and colleagues came to show their support. So CONGRATS James. We are very, very proud of you!!

Saying Goodbye...

Last week some of our closest friends, Josh and Emily Larsen moved away. There's an old quote by Charles Caleb Colton that goes, "True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost." Although we knew them less than 5 months it felt like we were old friends. We all know how hard it is to find friends that both mesh well with. They were those friends. And so this post is dedicated to you, Josh and Emily. How we will miss our weekends with you...

The way only you can make us laugh...

I'll miss having someone who completely understands the need to have 150 pairs of shoes....and jeans and jewelry to match each pair...

Josh, James will miss having his "wingman". (Seriously, it's good you two weren't single at the same time!) Because honestly, you "complete" him. ;-)

So, Thank You for the good times. We wish you luck and happiness in your new home. We're pretty confident however that once you've spent a couple years in Utah...you'll be back. That being said, how lucky we are to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.

OH! And NEVER, NEVER forget to
Battle Life's Obstacles While Maintaining Endurance!!

Celebrating Independence

For the 4th of July we went to Utah. We did so many fun things while we were there, it still surprises me we were able to fit it all in. Here are some of the fun things we got to do:

Day 1: The 4th of July

First thing in the morning one of Charity's neighbors put up a rock wall and invited all the kids to come participate...

Then, we took all of the family to dinner at one of our favorite local spots, Porters Place. The kids all looked so cute in their red, white, and blue! Then we headed for the Stadium of Fire to see Blue Man Group and of course Miley Cyrus. All who performed were amazing, from the skydivers, to the giant flag held, and waved by men and women in the armed forces, to Glenn Beck and let's not forget the fireworks...all of it was spectacular. We were all kind of spread out so James and I ended up sitting with just the boys. They kept asking when "Hannah Montana" was coming out. She was the final act and poor Levi fell asleep just before. Walker however bopped his head throughout the entire concert. All in all a great show!

Day 2: Pictures and Bar-b-que

Then, for my mom's birthday she decided she wanted a picture of all the grandkids (please hold the laughter until the end) so we curled and moussed up their hair and headed to the park. I stood right next to the photographer and took photos right along with her and don't think I got 1 where everyone was looking...sigh...oh well. I did go around and get some pretty cute pics of all the kids.

Then to finish out the day we had a bar-b-que at my little brother's apartment. The kids got to swim and oh yeah, so did I thanks to my wonderful little brothers!

Day 3: Cayden's Blessing

To finish out the trip we were able to attend the blessing of Cayden, my sister Cami's new baby. It was a beautiful blessing given by my dad. How blessed we are to have such a great family!

We had a wonderful time and as always, were sad to leave. Thanks to all of our amazing family for a wonderful, memorable vacation!

Somebody Special

As I was going through some old home movies I came across Levi and Walker's preschool graduation. I had to post this song, it was my favorite and had me crying like a baby. In fact it still makes me tear up. I will miss them so much when they start kindergarten! I'm so proud of my boy's!! And we all think they are definitely "somebody special"! (Make sure you pause the music player at the bottom before you start the video ;-) )
